On November 24, Colleyville Heritage High School varsity football defeated Argyle High School 38-34 in the third round of the UIL 5A Division II playoffs, and advanced to the Region I championship game.
The Panthers trailed by 10 points with five minutes to play. Quarterback Luke Ullrich on fourth-and-10 threw a 34-yard touchdown pass to Hayden Golden to pull the Panthers within three points with four minutes remaining in the game.
After a three-and-out stop by the CHHS defense, Ullrich and the offense would regain possession with under three minutes left in the game. The Panthers would march down the field and with only 40 seconds remaining Ullrich would throw his third touchdown pass of the game to Braden Blueitt to give the Panthers the late lead.
CHHS will now face Frisco Emerson High School at 7 p.m., Friday, December 1, at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco.
