Attention all parents! Did you know MySchoolBucks has a new and improved mobile app? Just like the MySchoolBucks website, you can add funds to your student’s meal account, check balances, and receive low-balance notifications right on your phone. In addition to accepting cash and checks for school meals, GCISD offers parents the option of making online credit card payments for student meals through myschoolbucks.com.
How It Works
Parents may make online payments to their child's meal account with a credit card at any time of the day or night, seven days a week. (Payments made when school is not in session will be processed on the next school day.) There is a $3.25 processing fee. Parents may pay with cash or check at any school with no processing fee. To make online payments, parents will need:
Visa, Mastercard or Discover
Child's student ID number
We are unable to accept e-checks, we apologize for the inconvenience.
Transactions made prior to 10 am will post to the meal account the same day. Payments made after 10 am will post the next school day.
Parents can sign up to view student transaction reports at no cost. If you need assistance with the meal account, please call 817-251-5617.

Add Automatic Payments Online
Never forget to give your student lunch money again! With our MySchoolBucks payment service, you can set up AutoPay to automatically fund your student’s meal account when it gets low. During the quick setup process, you decide what balance amount triggers a payment and how much should get added to each student on your account.

GCISD Check Acceptance Policy
Checks must have the following:
A pre-printed name and address (no temporary checks accepted)
The current date
Written to the name of the school Cafeteria or Nutrition Services
The student's name or 6 or 7 digit student ID number written in the memo section

Procedure for Students with Unpaid Meal Charges
Parents/Guardians shall monitor their student’s school meal account to ensure that they always have a positive balance. In the event that a student does not have a positive balance, the student may charge up to 5 meals to their account. Only reimbursable meals may be charged. A la carte items may not be charged. Communication about a negative meal balance will be sent to parents/guardians via email. Students who have exceeded the 5 charged meal limit, will be offered an alternative meal that will be charged to the student’s account.
Parents/Guardians are encouraged to sign up to monitor and manage their student’s meal account through myschoolbucks.com website. Benefits include:

• View meal transactions
• Set up automatic payments
• Pay online with a nominal convenience fee
• Myschoolbucks has a free mobile app that is available for both iPhone and android users in the app store or play store
Additionally cash or check payments are accepted at the school cafeteria.
Nutrition Services will email a negative balance notice to the email address on record through Skyward once a week until there is a positive balance in the account. Also, parents can receive email alerts based on the low balance threshold the parents select through My School Bucks.
Refund Process
To request a refund on your child's meal account, please email child.nutrition@gcisd.net, include the student's name and mailing address . All refund requests must be submitted in writing by email to child.nutrition@gcisd.net.
Refunds will be mailed to the address on file if an updated address is not provided. Additionally, refunds under $50 may be requested at the school cafeteria at anytime.
