Ceramics Club will have its first meeting on Monday, October 16, 2023 in Room E-2 from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. There will be a one-time fee of $10.00. Ceramics Club will be limited to twenty five students, first come, first serve. Money will begin to be collected on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.
*Ceramics Club is only for those students enrolled in art.
It's Teacher Tidbit Tuesday! Today we are featuring Andy Tucker. Mr. Tucker has been an educator in GCISD for 20 years as a coach, ELA teacher, and now an ASPIRE social studies teacher. He loves to BBQ and wear costumes (check out his yearbook photos!) But one thing he loves more is heavy metal music and concerts, and has been known to use his own guitar skills to awaken his precious child.
We are so thankful that Mr. Tucker is part of our Wolf Pack!

On October 11, 2023, GCISD will administer the PSAT 8/9 to 8th graders and the PSAT/NMSQT (Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) to grades 9-11. Students in grades 8-11 will need to bring their charged GCISD-issued device and charger to school on 10/11.

During most conference periods, Ms. Lemmon can be found with her stepladder and cart, displaying our Wolves' artwork in the hallways. She has the most organized field trips I've had the privilege to chaperone, and here's a fun tidbit... she's a pilot!

We're starting Teacher Tidbit Tuesday to share some fun information about our Wolves! First up we have Ms. Billman. Ms. Billman is a GCISD graduate, and has worked in the district for 10 years. Her mom retired from GCISD the year she started!
And a little tidbit from yours truly... Ms. Billman has the BEST laugh and is one of the best bakers I know.
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has announced a temporary delay in the release of 2023 A-F accountability ratings for all districts and campuses across the State of Texas. The ratings were originally scheduled for release on September 28 and will now be delayed by approximately one month, according to the TEA’s press release.

Please join us for our first Parent Tech Academy of the school year at the Professional Development & Education Center (PDEC) on September 20th at 6:30 p.m. The technology department will discuss apps that parents use, such as Canvas, Skyward, Lightspeed and Seesaw. Parents will have the opportunity to learn about each app and how they can stay better informed about their child. #WeAreGCISD
