It's time for Teacher Tidbit Tuesday! Today we're featuring Laurie Jackson, our science Department Learning Lead.
Ms. Jackson is a TCU Horned Frog who bleeds purple. She got both her Bachelors and Masters degrees there. Her Bachelors is in Spanish, and she considers speaking Spanish her super power. Her Masters is in Business Administration, and she worked for Pepsi many lifetimes ago. (When she was frustrated with work, she always had a Coke can on her desk...)
Once upon a time she taught elementary school until she had her own children and realized how amazingly goofy and endearing middle schoolers are.
Speaking of kids, all four of her kids are products of GCISD, K-12, have graduated from college (three of them have Masters degrees), and are pursuing their passions in life. Yay! She loves empty nesting!
When she grows up, she wants to be the co-lead singer of the Foo Fighters.
Your humble, local librarian would like to add that Laurie is always the calm voice of reason in the room. She is fiercely protective of her team and students, and is the person I go to when I need an honest, straight-forward assessment.
We are incredibly thankful that Laurie Jackson is a member of our Pack.
Wolf Pack - it’s our final week to collect coats and jackets benefitting MidCities SOS. We’ll have a drive thru drop-off this Friday morning 11/3 at the SAC and D Hall entrances for your convenience!
We can't let October end without wishing our very favorite principal a Happy Principals Month! We are so thankful to have Dr. Halliburton leading our Pack.

We finished on a high note with Eras Day! Red Ribbon Week 2023... that's a wrap!
We ended Red Ribbon Week with an assembly for the 8th graders with GHS leaders as our panelists. And of course, we had to finish with our former Wolves howling!
Huge thanks to our CTMS PALS an Ms. Leonard for all their hard work this week.
We would like to announce our CTMS Wolf Way Teacher of the Month award winner for the month of October. Here at CTMS we hold all members of the pack to the same expectations of following the Wolf Way. Just as we recognize our students, we want to recognize our staff that are upholding the wolf way here on campus.
Students were given the opportunity to nominate one staff member for being Kind, Respectful and Responsible. From those nominations, we have chosen the Wolf Way Teacher of the Month. Here are a few comments made by students who submitted a nomination.
He is kind and respectful as he teaches and respects our knowledge and questions….
He makes every student interested in math, and is constantly supportive of everyone, making sure that people know what they're doing, and that they're learning in the most conducive learning environment.
He is a very kind person, and will help you if you need help. He has been seen creating student-teacher relationships with his students. He is also very responsible, as he keeps us safe and makes sure to lock the door.
He is respectful to all his students and fellow staff. He shows his kindness to his students while giving them enough time to finish the homework, letting them ask questions, and always being very understanding. He is responsible for his students by setting high achievable expectations that he will help them reach.
The Wolf Way Teacher of the Month is..... Mr. Barnard!!!
Twin Day! You are not alone.
Love that our staff twinned with students and several dressed up as Mr. Massey. #RedRibbonWeek2023
It's not too late to join Ceramics Club! The next meeting will be October 30. See Ms. Lemmon for details.
Barbie and Ken Day! You are Kenough; don't do drugs.
