It's time for Teacher Tidbit Tuesday! Today we're featuring Bailey Gross, CTE teacher and yearbook sponsor. Bailey is a Red Raider and goes to as many Tech sporting events that she can. Her least favorite subject in middle school was maths, until she had two amazing maths teachers who made her love it so much that she became a maths teacher before crossing to the CTE world. In fact, she was an 8th grade maths teacher at CTMS, left for two years, then returned back to the Wolf Pack!
This humble librarian would also like to share that Bailey has an infectious laugh, is amazing at building relationships with students, and is a legit Swiftie, currently living her best era.
Wednesday was National Take Your Parents to Lunch Day and today was the end of the nine weeks, so on this beautiful sunny day we had Lunch on the Lawn. It's always a great day to be a Wolf!
The Wolf Pack Gives Back:. Consider donating any unwanted coats or jackets of all ages and sizes to benefit the Mid-Cities SOS Women & Children’s Shelters. We will be accepting donations now through Friday, November 3rd in the labeled boxes in the front hallway by the office.
It's Teacher Tidbit Tuesday and today we're featuring 6th grade ELA teacher Mady Greenlee. Ms. Greenlee attended Texas Tech... Go, Red Raiders! When she was younger she didn't like reading, but her friends were all reading The Hunger Games and the movies were coming out, so, not wanting to be left out she read the series and was hooked! She began all of the dystopian series that were becoming popular, like The Maze Runner and Divergent, and still loves reading to this day because she found books she enjoyed. Mady also enjoys painting and drawing and is looking forward to adding a Corgi to the family next year.
Mady signs her emails "With Sunshine," and I can tell you that she brings sunshine wherever she goes. We are so thankful to have her in our Wolf Pack.
Tomorrow, 10/11, GCISD will administer the PSAT 8/9 to 8th graders and the PSAT/NMSQT (Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) to grades 9-11. Students in grades 8-11 must bring their charged GCISD-issued device and charger to school.
This year, all high school students, regardless of whether they are taking the PSAT or not, will be expected to report to school at their regular start time of 8:40 a.m. All absences on this day will be documented as normal and will be factored into the requirements for exam exemptions.
