Getting ready for Wolf Camp
Changes to School Policy Regarding E-Cigarettes, Vaping and Related Substances Effective 9/1/2023, Texas House Bill 114 requires a student to be placed in the Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP) if the student possesses, uses, or is under the influence of, or sells, gives, or delivers marijuana, THC, or an e-cigarette to another person within 300 feet of school property or at a school-related event. Parent may find the full version of the Bill here: https://capitol.texas.gov/tlodocs/88R/billtext/pdf/HB00114F.pdf The District encourages all families to talk with their students regarding the dangers associated with vaping or drug usage and to discuss the implications of this new law with your children, emphasizing the importance of adhering to school policies and laws for their own welfare and for the betterment of the school community as a whole. Your cooperation and support in ensuring that our district remains a safe and healthy educational environment for our students is deeply appreciated.

Our last introduction for today is Ms. Hanover, who will be joining our Special Education team! "My name is Morgan Hanover and I am joining our Special Education team! This will be my 11th year teaching. Outside of teaching, I love to spend time with my family, sports, and music. I am so excited to join the Wolf Pack and be a part of the greatest community."

Ms. Bolling is joining our mathmagicians, and she is bringing some amazing energy to CTMS!! "Howdy Wolves! My name is Maddy Bolling and I am beyond excited to be joining the pack as part of the Math team! Math is absolutely my favorite subject in the whole entire world! A little bit about myself is that I am a graduate from Dallas Baptist University (DBU) - GO PATS!!! If there was one thing I could not live without, it would be a nice cold Dr. Pepper. Dr. Pepper may or may not be my kryptonite, so if you happen to see me sipping one in the classroom or working on things, just know it's my "teacher juice!" I come from a big family, my parents, 3 brothers, two who are married with a niece and a soon to be nephew, along with two dogs, two cats, and a fish! We love to play card games and play pickleball whenever we get the chance. I am quite the outdoorsy woman too. In my free time you might find me spending time with my boyfriend fishing or hunting. I also have a little bit of an artsy side to myself. I am a big fan of painting, listening to music, and country dancing with my honey. Fun fact: I have been to at least 20 country concerts and counting! I love to cook and make new recipes; I am always wanting to branch out and try something new. If there is one quote to live by it is "Everyday is a new day!" Here is to an amazing year Wolves!!! Until we meet! Miss B"

Let's meet Ms. Marceau, who will be joining our ELA team! "Hi! I'm Mikkia Marceau and I teach secondary English. I taught at Cassata Catholic High School for four rewarding years, and I'm super excited to be joining the team at Cross Timbers! I live in Hurst with my husband, daughter, and a ton of cats. I'm a mother of four children that I'm very proud of, and I love spending time with my family and friends, reading, traveling, and camping. I also love to sew, and right now I'm working on a quilt for my daughter, Genevieve. I'm very much looking forward to meeting all my new students and making this the best year ever!"

Next, allow me to introduce Angela Norris. Here are a few fun tidbits: "I love music and singing, education is extremely important to me (I love learning and sharing that excitement) and I am very team/goal oriented and that being said, collaboration is important because I believe we can always learn from one another. "

Are y'all ready to meet some more of our new Wolves? Let's start with Alex Easterling, who's joining our ELA team! "Here I am!! I am so eager to be a part of the pack!! As I dive head first into something new, what a rush of excitement it has been. I was born and raised in East Texas and decided it was time for a new adventure, so I packed my bags and relocated to the DFW area. What a fun journey it has been so far. I am joining the ever growing and glowing ELA family. My biggest pride and blessing of teaching is to help students develop a beautiful knowledge of their self worth. Every year I come out of that gate strong by reading them a book by Max Lucado called You Are Special."
