On April 20, GCISD athletes from Colleyville Heritage and Grapevine high schools competed in the Regional Track and Field meet. One student from each high school advanced to the UIL 5A Track and Field Meet, which will be held May 3, at the Mike A. Myers Track and Soccer Stadium in Austin, Texas.
Rondale Carridine, senior at GHS, won the regional championship in the 100-meter dash to advance to State. Natali Velasquez, freshman at CHHS, earned second place in the 3200 meters and will also be competing at the UIL 5A Track and Field Meet.
Congratulations to these two athletes. GCISD will be cheering them on at the last meet of the season.
