On April 14-15, the Colleyville Heritage and Grapevine High School girls golf teams competed at the UIL Region 1-5A Tournament. Both teams qualified for the State Championship, with CHHS finishing in second, followed by GHS in third place.
The Lady Panthers were led by sophomore Jumee Lee and junior Audrey McCallum, who both scored a 151 after two rounds of play and headed into a three-way playoff for the individual regional championship. Lee would claim the individual gold and McCallum took home the bronze.
Both teams will compete for the UIL 5A State Championship on April 28-29 at the Legacy Hills Golf Club (301 Del Webb Blvd, Georgetown, TX 78633).
