The Grapevine-Colleyville ISD Board of Trustees approved Alishia Ilic as the next principal of Glenhope Elementary at the March 31 Regular Monthly Meeting.

Ilic is currently an assistant principal at Cross Timbers Middle School. Prior to that role, she served as the Elementary Curriculum Coordinator for English Language Arts and Reading in Burleson ISD. She also has experience teaching kindergarten, fifth grade and sixth grade in the Burleson and Mansfield ISDs.

“With a wealth of experience as both a teacher and leader at the campus and district levels, Alishia brings a strong vision for excellence,” Superintendent Dr. Brad Schnautz said. “As an instructional leader, she is equally committed to fostering meaningful relationships and cultivating a positive, student-centered culture, while striving for the highest standards and creating an environment where every student’s achievements and growth are celebrated.”

Ilic is highly skilled in the planning and implementation of High-Quality Instructional Materials, curriculum development, instructional coaching, and teacher training and development. During her time at Cross Timbers, she has also gained experience supporting ASPIRE teachers and students.

“It’s an honor to be selected to join the Glenhope Gator community, and I am committed to building upon the strong foundation established during Dr. Griffin's 25 years of dedicated service,” Ilic said. “I’m ready to dive right into the swamp, and work closely with our students, staff, and parents to help every Gator reach their full potential.”

She has a Bachelor of Arts in Education and Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, both from the University of Texas at Arlington. Ilic will begin her new role July 1.
