Grapevine High School and Colleyville Heritage High School baseball teams have advanced to the Area round of the UIL 5A playoffs.
GHS swept Mansfield Timberview two games to zero by winning 6-5 in the first game and 2-1 in the second. The Mustangs will now advance to the Area to take Northwest in a best-of-three series.
CHHS won their series against Midlothian. The Panthers dropped the first game 3-2, but would come back and win two straight games, with a score of 4-2 in Game 2 and 4-3 in Game 3. They will now take on Aledo in a best-of-three series.
