Grapevine High School and Colleyville Heritage High School baseball teams have qualified for the UIL 5A playoffs.
GHS capped off their regular season by winning the UIL 5A District 6 championship with a record of 13-1 and an overall season record of 28-3. This is the second straight season that the Mustangs have won the district championship.
CHHS ended their regular season by securing third place in the district standings with a record of 9-5. That gives the Panthers a spot in the playoffs for the first time since 2019, when they won the UIL 5A state championship.
Both GHS and CHHS will begin their state playoff journey in a best-of-three series starting Thursday, May 2. GHS will face Mansfield Timberview High School, and CHHS will face Midlothian High School. The schedule for the series is the following:
