On April 1-4, Colleyville Heritage and Grapevine high school golf teams competed at the District 7-5A tournament. CHHS boys and girls both finished in second place to advance to the UIL 5A Region 1 tournament. CHHS sophomore Darby Barth, GHS senior Nick Castro, and GHS junior and defending state champion Chloe Sirkin, all qualified for the regional tournament individually.
Sirkin won the girls individual district championship, scoring a 69 in round one and a 74 in round two.
The boys regional tournament will be held at the Hillcrest Country Club, in Lubbock April 15-16. The girls regional tournament will be held at the Lake Ridge Country Club, in Lubbock April 17-18.
