Music for All National Festival

The Colleyville Heritage High School Wind and Percussion Ensemble has been selected to perform at the Music for All National Festival in Indianapolis, Indiana, on March 21-23, 2024.

Founded in 1975, Music for All is one of the nation’s largest and most influential organizations. Music for All is committed to empowering students, parents, and teachers to be engaged advocates for arts and music education within their communities.

Groups are selected for the national festival through a competitive, adjudicated, invitational process which takes place during the summer months. Last year’s CHHS ensembles  submitted a series of recordings and were one of the few ensembles from across the country selected to perform at the national festival.

CHHS Band Director Gary Barnard said, “We are proud of our students for the countless hours of demanding work they dedicated to reaching this major accomplishment, and we cannot wait to begin the journey to put together a fantastic series of concerts in Indianapolis this spring.”

Coming this September, CHHS will hear if the oboe and trombone ensembles have also been selected to perform at the festival next spring.

Bernard added, “Thank you to all the directors, private teachers, staff members, administrators, and clinicians that helped make this possible.”
