star grant recipients holding a check in front of a banner

Cheers and tears of joy could be heard and seen across GCISD on Friday, January 20, as the Grapevine-Colleyville Education Foundation (GCEF) surprised four more Star Grant recipients. This was the second and final round of the 24 GCEF grant awards presented this school year. Watch our video of the Star Grant Patrol, which included Foundation Board members, community leaders, GCISD administrators and foundation sponsors, delivering the good news to 21 teachers in December. The purpose of the Star Grants is to support promising ideas that enhance existing programs or pilot a new program. More than $3.5 million have been awarded since the program’s inception. To support the foundation in its endeavors to help our schools, visit the GCEF’s website.
