Congratulations to Colleyville Middle School’s Brent Fee, recipient of the Extra Yard for Teachers Award, presented by the College Football Playoff Foundation (CFPF).
“Coach Fee has been an athletic coordinator and teacher and he has had a really big impact with our community and our parents,” said Principal David Arencibia. “Our students love him and he has been a staple of our community.”
For this recognition, the CFPF partnered with the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) to have each state’s principals of the year select an Extra Yard honoree. Arencibia, who is the Texas Principal of the Year and one of three finalists for the national award, chose Fee as the Texas honoree.
The award, presented at the school on Thursday, October 27, is to recognize inspiring and empowering teachers. Coach Fee is the boys’ athletics coordinator at CMS and also teaches pre-athletics and P.E. He previously taught science.
