A.J. Pontillo was elected to Place 5, Dianna Sager was elected to Place 6 and Mary Humphrey was elected to Place 7 on the GCISD Board of Trustees by a majority vote in the May 6, 2023 Election with 100 percent of precincts reporting, according to unofficial results posted by Tarrant County Elections Administration.
In the election for Place 5, A.J. Pontillo received 6,386 votes (45.57%), Sergio Harris received 5,798 votes (41.37%) and David Stine received 1,830 votes (13.06%). In the election for Place 6, Dianna Sager received 7,430 votes (53.38%) while her opponent, Richard Newton received 6,490 votes (46.62%).
In the election for Place 7, Mary Humphrey received 6,767 votes (48.32%), Kimberly Phoenix received 6,268 votes (44.75%) and Mark Wollin received 971 votes (6.93%).
Final results for Place 5,6 and 7 will be canvassed and the elected trustees will be issued the oath of office and begin their new term on GCISD's Board of Trustees at an upcoming Board meeting.
