Newline Interactive, the leading provider of quality interactive touch displays and collaboration solutions, announced March 24 that Grapevine-Colleyville ISD is the recipient of the first-ever Distinguished Newline District Award. The Distinguished Newline District Award was launched to recognize school districts that have partnered with Newline Interactive in product deployment, training, product enhancement, and future roadmap development.

“Newline is the heart and soul of our classroom ecosystem,” said GCISD Chief Technology Officer Kyle Berger. “Our teachers now deliver instruction from their interactive panel that is joined to our interactive online video conferencing system.”

GCISD has interactive boards installed across the district’s classrooms, which were purchased with 2016 bond funds.

“I use this board every day,” said Silver Lake Elementary School kindergarten teacher Kelsey Wise. “I use it for calendar time. We also use it to click and drag sight words. Students can come up and tap and drag the words when we are blending sounds together. During math time we also use it to do our number of the day. It really enables my class to work together cohesively as one unit together or in small groups.”

"We are excited to award Grapevine-Colleyville ISD with the first-ever Distinguished Newline District award," said Ty Hall, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Newline Interactive. "Over the past three years we have cultivated a close relationship with GCISD that has been instrumental in helping Newline gain better knowledge in the way classroom technology can be deployed and enhanced to assist both teachers and students, especially in this era of remote and hybrid learning.”
