Following changes at the statewide level, and in order to best serve our students, GCISD is currently reviewing reproduction and sexual health instruction in our district and recently asked for parent input. The current instructional plan for reproduction and sexual health instruction in GCISD was previously recommended by the District’s School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) and approved by the GCISD Board of Trustees. Information intended to inform parents and guardians about the reproduction and sexual health instruction in GCISD was released on April 13, 2022 and a survey for all GCISD parents was sent on April 20, 2022.
