Who is a middle school student?

Any student who has completed grade 6, 7, or 8 is considered a middle school student. Middle school students are eligible to register in the following classes only.

What courses can my middle school student take?

Summer school:

• Secondary Summer School Program System

For acceleration:

• Health for 8th graders

• Professional Communications for 8th graders

For remediation:

• Middle School Math--Remediation for students who did not pass grade 6, 7, or 8 Math

• Middle School Language Arts--Remediation for students who did not pass grade 6, 7, or 8 English Language Arts

• Middle School Science--Remediation for students who did not pass grade 6, 7, or 8 Science

• Middle School Social Studies--Remediation for students who did not pass grade 6, 7, or 8 Social Studies

For admission to accelerated math or science:

• Bridge Math for 7th Grade --Designed for 6th grade students going into 7th grade Accelerated Math

• Bridge Science for 7th grade --Designed for 6th grade students going into 7th grade Accelerated Science

• Bridge Biology I Readiness -- Designed for 7th grade students going into Biology I

• Bridge Algebra I Readiness--Designed for 7th grade students going into Algebra I
