For the third consecutive year, the Dads Club at Bransford Elementary School hosted the Cereal Bowl, a beloved tradition leading up to Super Bowl weekend. The Dads Club provided cereal, creating a fun opportunity for students to share which team they’ll be cheering for in the big game.

GCISD Career and Technical Education students celebrated CTE Month by presenting at the Grapevine Young Professionals luncheon! After Stephanie Speaks, the Director of Career and Technical Education, highlighted the various programs of study and discussed ways the community can get involved, Colleyville Heritage High School students Nathan Abell and Keeley Hogan shared their personal experiences in practicums and their plans after graduation. #WeAreGCISD


In celebration of Heritage Elementary School’s one-school-one-book activities, Chloe the Cow greeted students during this morning’s drop-off. Students learned interesting facts about cows and got to pet Chloe. Thank you, GCISD Future Farmers of America (FFA), for sharing Chloe with our students!


Dove Elementary hosted its annual Friendship Day, where students learned about the diverse cultures that make their school unique. Thank you to the student presenters and their guardians for sharing their heritage and giving Dolphins a glimpse into countries around the world! #WeAreGCISD


This week, Dove Elementary School students invited parents, grandparents and other family members to Partners in P.E. Week! Visitors joined their students in stretching and physical activities, getting a firsthand look at how they are learning to stay healthy and active. It was a fun and engaging way to showcase the importance of physical education! #WeAreGCISD


Today, current fifth graders participated in GCISD Middle School Day! They experienced a preview of sixth grade through rotations, including art, band, choir, theater and AVID.
Fifth-grade parents, don’t forget! This evening, families and students are encouraged to visit their zoned middle school for campus-specific information sessions on electives, programs and more. #WeAreGCISD


Last night, the City of Grapevine issued a proclamation designating February as CTE Month, recognizing the impact of career and technical education in our community. GCISD is grateful for the city’s support! #WeAreGCISD

Happy 100th Day of School, GCISD! Our elementary schools are celebrating this milestone in the most fun and creative ways! Whether it’s counting, creating or dressing up as wise centenarians, classrooms are filled with exciting activities all centered around “100.” #WeAreGCISD


GCISD’s second annual Special Olympics Bocce Ball Tournament was a day filled with excitement, teamwork and unforgettable moments! Athletes, police officers, trustees, staff and community members came together for some friendly competition and plenty of high-fives. A huge round of applause to these athletes and everyone who showed up to cheer them on. We’re already looking forward to next year! #WeAreGCISD

Today, GCISD Collegiate Academy was recognized by the Texas State Board of Education in Austin for earning the National Blue Ribbon School distinction, announced earlier this school year. The GCISD special services team is proud to partner with the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Council of Tarrant County to host the Making Connections North Tarrant Disability Resources Fair.

Check out the sleek banners that GCISD’s CTE students and Grapevine DECA created for the Second Annual Special Olympics Bocce Ball Tournament! The bocce ball event will take place from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, at Grapevine High School’s Mustang Activity Center. Last year, CTE students built ramps for the tournament. Yesterday marked the first meeting of the spring semester communications interns. Students from Collegiate Academy, Colleyville Heritage High School, Grapevine High School, and iUniversity Prep came together to learn about social media best practices, writing styles, and photography. Throughout the semester, they will take photos, write news articles and create social media posts to be shared across all district communication platforms. #WeAreGCISD


It’s Silver Lake Elementary School’s second Experience Design Week of the school year, and this year’s theme is “Factory: Gearing Up for Success.” Parents and staff decorated the hallways while teachers designed creative, curriculum-connected lessons in the classrooms. Examples include a snow factory for a weather lesson, a candy factory where students practiced fractions and a book factory where students wrote creative stories. #WeAreGCISD


Last night was Timberline Elementary School’s 2025 Art Showcase, which was inspired by a study about Spain. The event, attended by families and students, began with Timberline ambassadors leading guests through the school hallways highlighting this year’s magnificent artwork by pre-K through fifth grade students and closed with performances by the school’s ballet folklorico, a guest student singer from Grapevine High School’s choir and a fashion show that included attire worn by flamenco dancers and bullfighters.
