
After two months of competing for customer votes, students in GCISD’s Advanced Culinary class, part of the district’s Career and Technical Education program, finally discovered which of their pizza creations was most successful. Last night, the Grapevine High School girls soccer team received their bronze medals in celebration of an incredible season and a top-four finish in their division. Congratulations to this outstanding team on another remarkable year of soccer! #WeAreGCISD

On Tuesday night, fourth and fifth graders from Colleyville Elementary unveiled their mural at the Colleyville Public Library, where Colleyville Mayor Bobby Lindamood Jr. began the ceremony with a ribbon cutting. The mural features paintings of the students' favorite storybook characters and can be viewed on the second floor of the Colleyville Public Library through April 26. #WeAreGCISD


Last night, we celebrated the graduation of the second class of Leadership GCISD! This incredible group of community members got a behind-the-scenes look at what makes GCISD thrive, and finished their semester-long program learning more from Finance, Human Resources and Technology.

🌱🌍 Today, Cannon Elementary celebrated Earth Day! Their fourth and fifth grade GT LEADers guided Cannon Cubs through a variety of learning stations in the community garden, including garden tours, mint leaf pressing, story time and tree ring paintings. 🌍🌱

🌍 Students at Bear Creek Elementary participated in a science presentation on Earth's rotation and the moon's phases, thanks to the campus PTA. The session served as a fun lead-up to Earth Day, which is observed tomorrow. 🌍

This morning, we hosted the final Gold Card session of the 2024–2025 school year for residents 65 years and older. Today is the day! Join us for Walk a Mile with GCISD from 6-7:30 p.m. at Mustang Panther Stadium, even if you can only drop in for a moment. GCISD staff, community leaders and families are all invited to fellowship and get a few steps in walking around the track. Bring the whole family, but please leave your furry friends at home to keep our stadium clean. Feel free to also bring a football, frisbee or soccer ball to have a little fun on the field.


GCISD Career and Technical Education (CTE) students showcased their skills at the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) state competition from April 11–13. Kinsey Vines and Katie Rosado competed in the Hospitality, Tourism and Recreation category and Hunter Somerman competed in Food Innovations. Kinsey and Katie placed in the top five, earning fifth place overall. Congratulations to these students on their achievements!
